I may be a marginal player in the fermented barley milieu, but I enjoy watching the jostling for position much like those entranced by a ball kicked around a footie field.Brewers Union Local 180https://www.blogger.com/profile/05786517873195170945noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7828714141383213600.post-30766143441414939272014-06-25T10:12:34.740-07:002014-06-25T10:12:34.740-07:00I care! I am particularly interested in the declining price of six-packs and the increasing price of bombers. This is a marvelously suggestive find.Jeff Alworthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02930119177544342495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7828714141383213600.post-79639509890135031492014-06-25T09:34:06.479-07:002014-06-25T09:34:06.479-07:00Glad to see this back up. Interesting time for craft beer. Data shows first generation craft beers in decline (Widmer, Bridgeport, etc) while second generation crafts are on fire (10 Barrel, Ninkasi, etc). A place like Belmont that always wants to be (and needs to be) on the front edge of craft is eventually going to have to cut the cord on some of the long term crafts to make way for the new wave. The other thing with Belmont, some of the first wave crafts are now being promoted at very low margins as grocery trends more and more toward craft. Rather than giving away product just to be competitive, Belmont is likely better off carry less "famous" brands that still provide a decent ROIpriceithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16143722662499174165noreply@blogger.com
